So a few years ago Crytek (the developer for Far Cry) sold all rights and the engine to Ubisoft. So Ubisoft Montreal is making Far Cry 2 which takes place in Africa now.

Preview here.
And some magazine scans.
The picture captions the magazine chose to put in there are terrible though.
e.g.
"KA-SPLOSION"
"Their crime? Selling counterfeit Pokemon cards on eBay."

So...this game might have a decent plot (not being made by Crytek). No Jack Carver. None of those big trigens. etc

Should be interesting to see if they decide to have all white bad guys or if the hero of the game will clearly be some sort of zealot racist genocidal maniac!
