Seriously, why does college have better OT rules than pro?

"We moved it halfway down the field and kicked a FG...win !"

vs.

"We scored 4 touchdowns, 1 of 2 two-point conversions and lost"

I really don't see why there is such a seperation between the two in OT rules either.  OT should be exciting and a great spectacle when it happens.  College basketball doesn't have it so the first team that scores a basket wins the game.

the nfl side would not be that bad if they made it a timed quarter.... like say maybe 8 minutes'ish

the college side is fair since both sides get the same opportunity to "duke it out"

Blim, college basketball isn't first basket wins, its a 5 min. OT period I believe with whoever leads wins, if a tie it goes to a 2nd OT.

You missread what I wrote.  I was just saying that college basketball doesn't have a wimpy overtime like college football does.
