Excellent news... hopefully he takes charge and acts swiftly with what needs to happen with the football program (which better have nothing to do with Frank Solich).

I don't think he'll make too many changes.  It'll be the dirty job of the new director.  He'll probably just keep things running as smooth as possible until they can find a permanent replacement.

well said

the football team is still going to suck for a while so this is still no magical treatment and everything is going to go away tomorrow.  its still going to take years and years.  but you can tell that calahan was pretty scared about keeping his job
