I love youtube. Before the admins took it down I found the full movie on Youtube and saved myself $10.

All in all I would give the movie a 7.5 out of 10.

It starts out slow and remains slow throughout the entire movie. There are a couple of speedy scenes when the monsters do attack. You don't really get the see the big monsters and there are no vore or devour scenes, all though you can hear people being eaten. The plot gets thicker and thicker has the movie progresses and panic and religious propaganda begins to spread amoungst the crowd of people trapped inside the grocery store.

Minor spoiler. It stays true to the book and ends worse off then the book ended. Mr. King always has a habit of getting the "this is my book so it'll happen how I want it" attitude and likes to ruin endings IMO.

If you were thinking of seeing it before it left theaters, I say save your money and rent it when it comes out on DvD. Grab your girlfriend and some popcorn and feel pleased you can calm her down when the gross and scarey parts do happen. I do have to say though the acting in this movie was excellent and I give props to the actors who did a great job.
