for those that know me, know that i am a HUGE Lakers fan.
I'm talking since back in 1985 when i was a mere child.
i can remember first learning about the game and how much i loved it, to which i still do today.
see back then the staring 5 was: Kareem, Worthy, Magic, Byron Scott, and Michael Cooper.
and back then, there were the Celtics. my arch nemesis.
i hated seeing them, because Bird, McHale, and Parish would try to put the hurt on us.
we would face each other every May/June and fight for the title.
oddly enough, 20 years later, here we are again.
this time it's Kobe/Gasol/Odom vs Allen/KG/Pierce.
this is big. this is like NU vs OU for the NCAA title. or the Bears vs the Packers. or Dodgers vs Giants (Yankees vs Red Sox for you East Coasters).
this is the renewal of the biggest sports rivalry in my life time, and I'm going to enjoy every second of it.
so for bragging rights, figured I'd see who is picking whom.
place your vote, and don't let the following links persuade you too much.

the nba is full of nothing but a bunch of college drop outs who do nothing but show boat, cry about how they are treated unfairly, and think they can get away with anything they want.

if I had to choose one, celtics in 6, because i hate kobe

Classic finals matchup. Unfortunately I don't care for either team. I'm a big Suns fan. The NBA sucks though because the spurs get 90% of the calls. !#!^1ers.

It has been over a decade since I really watched any NBA games.

If I had to choose blindly I'd say Celtics in 5.

Looks like the Lakers are in trouble.  I don't think they can pull a 3 game winning streak they need.

Yep, we are reminded in this series that it is a TEAM game.  The Celts are just playing better.  Me = sad (Lakers fan).

The Lakers just couldn't overcome the Celtics.  The Celtics were definitely the better overall team.

I personally found the whole thing unwatchable.  From the lack of team play, lack of defense, no hustle, horrible officials, constant whining of the players...I could go on but I'll stop there.  If my team is playing and I can't watch, there's a good indication that I won't ever watch the NBA in it's current form.  Let's hope things change.

we needed 2 things.
1) more health. Bynum needs to get back from rehab, Kobe needs to fix his hand.
2) that thing. meaning the old hustle/determination/will power thing that all the veterans have.
with our roster being so young, that's going to take awhile.
or more veterans.
but I'll say congrats to the Celtics, hope to see you next year, and KG deserved that ring.
I've been a fan of his for years, and was begging for our GM to trade for him before the Celtics did last June.
