In scientific terms I wouldn't understand a damn thing. But here is my take on it.

This machine essentially if I understood it right, is a step recreating the conditions in which the big bang occured. Should that be able to be done it would pretty much shut all "creationists" up and put an even bigger hole in religion there for proving the human species evolved on its own under just the right conditions and would then pretty much turn religion more into a personal belief and faith rather then the power and influence it still holds on the world today.

Small example on how religion still has influence and power. Gays still cannot Marry in many states even though the law states that religion is seperated from the state. Yeah that's one giant contradiction.
