I'll start off by saying this was my first actual 3d Movie! The theaters right down the road finally fitted one of their theaters with 3d capability. It was in "Real 3d" not Imax.

Dreamworks pulled a 3 banger this year first releasing How to Train Your Dragon, Shrek 4 and now Mega Mind. Voiced by Will Ferrel you could actually in a sense see how they built Mega Minds character around Will's style of comedy. Although the trailer being a bit misleading the movie was very funny and the 3d was amazing.

Classic hero vs villain theme going on with some twists...I will be brief.

-Hero vs Villain countless battles always resulting in the villains defeat
-Hero grows tired of the same old thing over and over again so he fakes his death
-Villain "wins" but then grows bored of having nothing to do and actually being the supreme ruler of all of Metro City
-Villain creates super hero so he no longer is bored
-New hero goes mad with power and becomes the Villain
-Our once Villain is now the hero and has to save the city from former heroes wrath of disgruntled bottled up feelings he had against the world

All in all a nice 8.5 Mongeese bites out of 10.

The comedy is there and as has been standard with Dreamworks they blend the adult humor in perfectly so the kids laugh but the adults actually know what was said/meant.

Just saw this recently after its release on DVD.  It was a pretty good film -- definitely entertaining for both kids and us older folk.  If you haven't seen it yet, try finding it at Redbox -- easily worth the $1 rental fee.

Agreed, I watched it surrounded by kids and adults and all were entertained including myself, a worthwhile movie.
