I don't know.  I loved the original...I mean, probably my all-time favorite comedy.

But, this one has me thinking its just a cheap knock-off of the original, quickly written and thrown together.  Yes, it will be funny because the characters/actors are funny, but the original was unique and funny.  This one has lost the uniqueness.

So, I'm going in disappointed hoping to be surprised.

this movie sticks to the "more of the same" motif almost to the letter. stop me if any of this sounds familiar:
a bachelor trip travels abroad
where you find an evil gangster
you suffer from a giant hangover
turns out you're missing a person
drugs are involved
a prostitute enters the picture
cops enter the scene
you get involved in a car chase
and then Mike Tyson shows up

don't get me wrong, this is still a very funny movie.
it's just the same movie, now in Thailand instead of Vegas.
it's more crude and rude, and though not as funny as the original, it's still funny.
stay for the end to see some very funny, but disturbing pictures.
and yes, this movie has made bank, so they'll make the 3rd one a finale.
overall - 8.68 smashies.

More of a, comedy can only survive if it stays true to its roots. Many comedic sequals have failed horrible. HO2 did well. IMO HO2 had more big laughs then consistent laughs. Still extremely funny. Should most certainly see this movie.
