Well I will say I am impressed and also disappointed at this game. I was expecting much more out of it and my biggest complaint as of late with any game is it's length.

To make a long story short the story is great. It sucks you in and keeps you there. Just like the first you are forced to make choices and depending on those choices made will decide certain outcomes of how the story progresses. The combat system is actually quite nice. In the first witcher you had to time your attacks to complete combos. In this game you only need to time your attacks when the enemy becomes vulnerable. It's your typical hack and slash combat system with the addition of enemy shields and your signs you can use to aid yourself. Character progression is simple and broken down into 3 basic trees aside from the small "training" tree.

How ever my complaint again is it's length. There are only 3 chapters in the game and not to many side quests. Some of the quests were very difficult to figure out as the game gave you very little to no direction. But even with the side quests the game was not that long.

Aside from that the graphics are great but the animations are a bit twitchy and there is plenty of clipping.

Overall if you are looking for an immersive single player RPG that will kill some time and give an overall pleasing experience I would wait for the price to drop. The game focuses mainly around processing power so a top of the line graphics card is not entirely needed for full settings.

A solid 8.0 mongeese bites.

The only contender for RPG of the year right now until Skyrim releases.  I thought the game was average length for PC RPG with 67hrs my first play through, and working on the second to take different paths for Chapter 2 story arc and endings.

First playthrough choosing to help Iorveth and skipped some side quests: 67hrs
Second playthrough choosing Roche and completed all side quests: 98hrs
There's about 10hrs or so of me just dicking around and I left the game running when I fell asleep last night.
