Just curious if anyone knows some good software for editing portraits to professional level.  We've been toying with Photoshop Elements 9 and have had good success with it but wondering if there's anything out there you'd recommend.

Photo Shop is about all I've ever tinkered with. If it was video editing software I might of been able to help you :-p

Sadly, I think you're still stuck with Windows, right?

That being the case, your best options are LightRoom and Photoshop, both from Adobe. Which you choose depends largely on the kinds of editing you need to do and if you want pro-grade photo organization, contact sheets, presentations, etc.

Photoshop is above and beyond what most people need, and is priced accordingly.
